Indian Journal of Applied Radiology | Volume: 1, Issue: 1

On behalf of the Editorial Board I take pleasure in extending a hearty welcome to the readers of the inaugural issue of Indian Journal of Applied Radiology. The journal intends to publish case reports, original full length research articles, short communications, and review papers. An Image Section (Residents’ and students’ section) covering empirical and theoretical contributions and advances in Radiology will also be an essential feature of this journal. IJAR is the periodical publication with biannual periodicity, double blind peer reviewed, Open Access Initiative for exploration of scientific discoveries and new research in the field of Radiology. It representscollaborative effort of the scientists and scholars, across the globe, driven by the urge to prove useful to society. In order to maintainquality and ensure validity of the research being published, IJAR subjects the articles to a rigorous peer-review process. The idea of this journal is the outcome of a series of discussions and deliberations with my teachers, colleagues and friends who felt the need of such a journal where research work can be published proficiently and expeditiously. The editorial board takes pride in dedicating the first issue of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen who revolutionized the Medical Science with his discovery of X Rays.

Suggestions for improvement in any matter concerning this journal are welcome and these shall be thankfully acknowledged.
